Digital Marketing is a group of disciplines designed to drive relevant and engaged traffic into target websites. This is a course offered to companies who want to engage in the digital space.
DMI is a 12 to 16 week course, the event was held at SM Aura.
This happened two weeks before PeepCon 2.0.
Bernard San Juan III was in charge of two sessions. The session started around 1pm and ended around 6:30pm.
Day 1: SEO 101 May 12
Digital Marketers from all over the Metro enrolled in this program to learn from the Hokage SEO of Truelogic Online Solutions, Bernard San Juan III. The training was intense and covered vast aspects of the fundamentals of Digital Marketing. The pressure was on as our marketers started filling their brains with information that blasted them in 6 hours or less.
The topic in this Module discussed covered the Concepts & SEO Fundamentals.
SEO Topics Covered:
• Understanding SERPs positioning
• Search Behavior
• Goals & Benefits
• Keyword Research
• On-Page SEO
• Technical
• Site-maps and Webmaster Tools
• Off-page SEO
• Analysis and Review
To kick things off, Bernard started with the dynamic with goals, actions, review and iteration which he quickly followed up with the concept definitions to provide clarity for his audience.
People started to ask more questions when Bernard covered the Technical section.
Assignments such as Keyword Research were given to them. That being said, the participants were divided into groups. Part of the assignment was monitoring position.
Some of the attendees were from OLX, Globe & China Bank.
Day 2 May 12 2016:
I managed to join this session which was still being led by Mr. Bernard San Juan III. This was a very exciting day for the attendees as they are now assigned to present what they learned from the previous session.
After the presentations, Bernard jumped straight in to Search Engine Marketing. This immediately changed the mood as the participants were more receptive to paid search.
The Agenda:
• Introduction
• Goals
• Setup
• Process
• Campaign Management
• Reporting and Analysis
• Laws and Guidelines
Everybody loves big data and our participants immediately reacted to brands. This off course was familiar territory to some of them.
The Campaign Management portion got everybody excited as they got to setup campaigns for the first time.
A lot of questions revolved around bidding & budgeting strategies.
Heatmaps really helped the participants understand the behavior better.
Overall this was a very good learning experience even of intermediate level Digital Marketers as the topics covered basic but vital information.
